Money and signal

Cash, cards and ATMs

Bring cash, and don't assume the card. We're not going to tell you which business on the lakeside takes what, because we haven't checked them one by one — but the tianguis, the market stalls and the taxis run on cash, and in small places it's worth asking before you order.

If you need an ATM, message us and we'll tell you which one is on your way rather than have you drive down and come back empty-handed. Wherever you use one, prefer a machine inside a bank branch or a large store, and use it in daylight.

Signal and data

Raquet Club is up on the hillside, and on ground like this phone coverage can vary from one street to the next — we don't take it for granted. If you're coming from abroad and you depend on mobile data to work or to navigate, tell us before you arrive and we'll tell you what to expect at this particular house.

One tip that helps either way: download the offline map of the area before you drive up, and save our number in your phone. The lakeside highway is easy, but the streets inside the development are all named after tennis players and they blur together.
